Saxtronauts is an exploratory saxophone ensemble that brings diverse art music to various audiences, also in exceptional locations. The group’s Avaruusseikkailu (Space Adventure) performance has toured observatories and science centers in recent years. Saxtronauts Anna-Sofia Anttonen, Nanna Ikonen, Nanako Lammi, and Sikri Lehko arrange works from different time periods for their instruments, commission new music, and showcase original compositions written for the saxophone.
The saxophone is their tool for exploring the universe.
